So here we stand on the cusp of Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

You have been introduced to a plethora of saints and seen how their love, sacrifices, humility and examples can also be united through the stations.

At this point, I am hoping that there is at least one saint that has stood out to you. That one saint that as you read through that day’s writings, in your head you are yelling and possibly fist-bumping at the idea of this particular saint and the connection that was made.

Maybe it was the station that really called to you because you never saw Christ that way, maybe it was the way the women wailed for Jesus as he passed them by.

Lent is a time for us to repent and truly dive into the sacrifice that the Lord did for us, and continues to do for us. Lent is a time for us to re-gather ourselves and allow ourselves to be ready for salvation with our Lord. Lent is a time for us to sacrifice, repent and be grateful for this opportunity for growth.

As hard as the end of Lent is, you are almost there. Even though the saints had it difficult, they didn’t just peace out and give up because they were close to the end.

Our ultimate goals should be heaven, the saints ultimate goal was heaven, Jesus’ ultimate goal was to allow us heaven with him. How awful would it be if we just gave up right before the end. Don’t give up, press on, wrap yourselves in the beauty and sacrifice of the next few days. Open your hearts and let them humbly soak in the sacrifice.

Because that sacrifice... that sacrifice is our key to heaven.
